Red Bell Pepper Chutney (Red Capsicum Chutney)

My favourite breakfast has always been Dosa since childhood. My mother makes different varieties of Dosa and I am still addicted to it. This chutney is a very unique one and goes very well with Dosa. We all know that red capsicum or red bell pepper has high Vitamin C and antioxidants which even help in preventing cancer. Apart from having excellent nutritional value, this chutney also tastes great and can be prepared within minutes. Surprise your family with this healthy chutney on a busy morning and enjoy the day with a hearty smile..

Notes:

1. You can add 2 cloves of garlic and 1 – 2 tbsp of freshly grated coconut before grinding. This is completely optional.

2. Urad Dal should be evenly brown and not black. If it turns black, the chutney will not be tasty.

3. You can also make Tadka with mustard seeds and curry leaves. Even without Tadka, the chutney tastes good.
