Kids Party at Tidjoori Vegan Restaurant – Review

Dining out has always been a major issue for us as we are on a dairy free diet. Our usual visit to any restaurant goes like this – After checking the menu options, we prefer to meet the Chef. We explain all about our allergy and request him if he could make any dish without dairy (will also mention that the vessels need to be properly cleaned in order to avoid any cross contamination). Most of the time, they are very accomodative and suggest some dishes that they could make. Starters are out of question usually except for the Chinese ones. But since the Chinese dishes use a lot of sauces with preservatives, we tend to avoid those (if we can manage to have no cravings at that moment particularly for dishes like Mushroom pepper fry and crispy fried vegetables). Very rarely do we get a chance to eat any Kebabs (even with potato base) as most of them would have Paneer or Yoghurt (for marination). When I came to know about the opening of the Vegan Restaurant in Dubai Marina through an invite for taste testing their dishes, I was super excited!! More exciting was that Shreya can eat anything (YES, ANYTHING THAT SHE WISHED FOR) from there. But due to some prior engagements, I could not attend the taste testing ceremony. Never mind, everything happens for good. There was a kids’ party which was organised  by them a few days ago and I took Shreya there. Here are the pictures taken during the party.

Cup cake decoration

There was face painting, cup cake decoration, making the kids’ pizza and painting activities.

Pizza

This pizza was made by Shreya (the chef baked it for her after she designed her own with tomato sauce, bell peppers and olives). There was a free kids’ buffet also with whole wheat vegan burgers and fruit kebabs.

In the mean time, we also ordered for a Vegan Mochaccino, a berry smoothie and a Forest Pizza. A tofu salad was also served.

The Forest Pizza was awesome (to my surprise, they had also used pesto, remember my Vegan Pizza post where I had used Pesto instead of tomato sauce) and the Mochaccino (with soy milk) also exceeded my expectation.

The Tofu Salad was really nice (sorry for the messy picture as we couldn’t resist and had a couple of spoons before taking the picture)

We had a happy tummy and this was the only time Shreya could eat anything she wanted. Thanks to Tidjoori!!

The staff members were really nice and made sure that we enjoyed our time there. Tidjoori, you are amazing!! We would definitely visit you again.

Please note that this is purely based on my experience and I am not being compensated in any way for this review.

See you soon with a nice recipe.
